Mission Statement

The primary purpose of The American Association Almanac is to educate readers on the subject of one of baseball's premier minor leagues: the American Association during the period from 1902-1952. In hopes of improving our understanding of the past and our heritage, readers may generate constructive dialogue concerning the individuals and events associated with the eight teams within the American Association through this publication.

Vital to the purpose of The American Association Almanac is to honor the memory of the players of the American Association.

Through a variety of sources and the exercise of careful research, this record serves to provide an accurate basis for informing and reminding those interested in baseball history of the cultural uniqueness and historical complexity of minor league baseball both within and outside the borders of the United States.
